Privacy policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. Short version: we use it to fulfil your orders, and we don't sell it.

Who we are
The Brew Store Noosa, 4a/11 Bartlett Street, Noosaville QLD 4566. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
When you order from us or create an account, we collect:
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Delivery and billing addresses
- What you ordered, and your order history
- Any messages you send us through the contact form
If you only browse the site, we don't collect any of this.
Card details
We never see or store your card number. Card payments are handled directly by Stripe, our payment provider. Your card details go from your browser to Stripe without passing through our website, and we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed. Stripe's own privacy policy is at stripe.com/au/privacy.
If you pay at the counter when collecting, that's handled by our in-store card terminal and no card data touches this website at all.
Why we collect it
- To pack, deliver and invoice your order
- To send you order confirmations and let you know when a click & collect order is ready
- To answer your questions when you contact us
- To meet our record-keeping obligations, including tax law
Who we share it with
Only the businesses needed to get your order to you and keep the site running:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Our courier — name, address and phone number, so they can deliver your parcel
- Our email and hosting providers — to send order emails and run the website
We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with advertisers.
Marketing email
We'll only send you promotional email if you've opted in. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. Order confirmations and collection notices aren't marketing — you'll still get those, because they're part of the order.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies that are necessary for the site to work — keeping you logged in and remembering what's in your cart. That's it.
We don't run third-party advertising or tracking cookies — no ad-network pixels, no cross-site tracking. If that ever changes, we'll update this page and ask for consent where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Order and transaction records are kept for at least five years, as required by Australian tax law. Account details are kept while your account is open. If you'd like your account closed, just ask.
Keeping it secure
The site runs over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and account passwords are stored hashed rather than in readable form. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what we hold and to limit what we collect in the first place.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we're not required to keep it. Contact us on (07) 5412 2766 or info@thebrewstore.com.au and we'll respond within a reasonable time, normally 30 days.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, tell us first and we'll try to put it right. If you're still not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information we'll update this page and change the date at the top.
