Cleaning & Sanitising

Cleaning and sanitising are different jobs — do them in that order. Stellarclean and Stellaoxy (sodium percarbonate) strip krausen rings and beer stone from fermenters and kegs; StellarSan is the no-rinse acid sanitiser for brew day — the foam is normal, don't rinse it off. Morgan's cleaners and sodium metabisulphite cover the budget end, and caustic soda handles the truly neglected.

Brushes, bottle trees and line-cleaning caps live here too. If you only buy two things, make them a tub of percarbonate cleaner and a bottle of StellarSan — between them they cover nearly every cleaning job in home brewing.
