Essence

Around 250 spirit essences — bourbon and whisky, rum, gin, vodka, tequila, brandy, ouzo, sambuca, schnapps and cream liqueurs — from Still Spirits, Samuel Willard's, Edwards Essences, Prestige and Pure Distilling, in 50 ml shots through to bulk bottles.

An essence is a concentrated flavouring, not a spirit. You add it to a neutral base spirit you've already bought, top up to volume, shake, and it's drinkable straight away — no still involved at any point. Most are better again after a week or two in the bottle, and better still with a little oak.
