Simpsons Malt
Simpsons Medium Peated Malt 1kg
SKU: 10951
Description
Peated malt is used by some malt distillers to impart a smoked or peaty flavour to their spirit. This type of malt may also occasionally be used as a very small inclusion in brewers' mashes to produce beer with a smoked character. Used in whisky production and in small amounts in scottish ales and wee heavy ales.
If you just want subtle smokiness in your beer, try the Weyermann or Gladfield smoked malt which is possibly more appropriate.
